An unexpected side effect of the 2010 flooding in parts of Sindh, Pakistan, was that millions of spiders climbed up into the trees to escape the rising flood waters; because of the scale of the flooding and the fact that the water took so long to recede, many trees became cocooned in spiderwebs. People in the area had never seen this phenomenon before. (Courtesy: National Geographic)
It’s like my worst nightmares come to life.
Oh, God. Pakistan, the place where nightmares are born and climb up all the trees to make frightening nests together.
If this happened in Canada I might never leave the house again.
Damn the man. Save the Empire.
Flash decision at 2am—my next tattoo will be these words.
Empire Records, 1995 (dir. Allan Moyle)
That’s right, a Canadian! Allan didn’t do much for film lovers, but he did make two of my favorite movies from the 90s: Empire Records and Pump Up The Volume.
Much like last night, it’s now late (2am) and I’m doing work on a server when I’d rather be sleeping or, well, anything else.
And on top of that, I’m bored.
Sadness is hunting for a song you know you’ll never find. Really want to find “Can’t Stop Losing Myself” by the Dirt Clods.
The Empire Records soundtrack is good, but the song in the movie otherwise are still kind of beyond amazing.
“Romeo + Juliet” - Dire Straits

J’adore Luc Besson. Love (most of) his movies!
This is the haggis that we will be using in the Robbie Burns tomorrow. Pretty nice eh?
I love haggis. Dying to know how this turned out.
