Once again, I am a bad, bad Tumblr. I’ve been lurking around the site when I can, but obviously I haven’t been posting a heck of a lot.
Life has been busy though. Lots going on, and I’m planning my wedding for the fall, and doing all the media revelry on top of it all.
The big fun tonight is that I’m catching the screening of Sucker Punch, which I’m dying to see, but this week is also Juno Week here in Toronto, and it’s been a couple of years since I’ve been to the Junos.
For the Americans out there, the Junos are Canada’s music awards, and they come with a whole week of concerts and events. Tonight is a singer/songwriter deal with Johnny Reid that I’m going to, tomorrow is a big outdoor concert with City and Colour, Friday there’s a reception with the nominees, Friday and Saturday night there are concerts at venues around the city, and then Saturday night is also the gala awards dinner, followed Sunday by the televised event at the Air Canada Centre.
So, I’m trying to keep up with all of that, on top of my other work. Kind of fun, and crazy, all at once. I’m kind of proud though that the Junos have finally started making a bigger splash, and since this is the 40th anniversary, it’s the right year to remind Canadian’s how many great musicians we have in this country…
Great musicians though aren’t named Drake, but that’s just my opinion.
